So, how did I settle on the meaning of Ikonografik Design as my brand identity?

Why I avoided using my own name

I thought using my own name for a business was a bit boring and not very creative, especially for the line of work I’m in. Using another word to express what I do sounded much more interesting and the right thing to do.

Iconographic is a real word that means ‘a collection of pictures of a particular subject,’ so I thought that applies to any project that I work on, as it’s a collection of pictures of the project.

The creative “K” and the phonetic alphabet

I then stupidly changed the c’s to k’s, the ph to a f > because that was being even more creative right!?

Wrong.

I now have to spell out my co. name and email address, url etc. on every phone call in the phonetic alphabet as people are like, ‘What? how do you even say that?’

Doh. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I suppose it is memorable though.
