Conversion to HMO of an existing terraced house [House in Multiple Occupation] where the building is split into smaller separate rented units with shared communal spaces. Planning Permission was not required, the work was completed under Permitted Development rights. The client was a property development company who completed the work as part of an investment portfolio.
Aimed at young professionals, boutique interiors and creative adaptations were delivered to provide 5 separate bedrooms, each with an En-suite Bathroom. Stringent technical and fire safety requirements needed to be overcome to obtain Building Regulations approval and an HMO License.
