New house in conservation area

Life continues to be incredibly busy with lots of new and exciting projects coming through. A recent project is a new build house in Dore Village Conservation Area, Sheffield. We are delighted to be working on this scheme as this is one of the first new build projects we have been commissioned to design.

The building is proposed to be a highly energy efficient timber framed construction with high quality materials suitable for the location, such as natural coursed split stone, Siberian larch cladding, natural slates and aluminium framed windows with bespoke internal joinery. The style of the dwelling has been kept relatively traditional to ensure it fits in with the historic fabric of Dore Village.

Although, not a certified Passivhaus design it will be constructed to meet the stringent requirements of the UK Building Regulations which now is not far off Passivhaus standards. The fast track timber frame construction will enable the shell of the building to be erected very quickly with the stonework following soon after. Future updates coming soon…
