Major landscaping + mini-refurb

Major landscaping to house combined with a mini refurbishment and upgrades. The primary piece of work was a new driveway, approximately 95m² in size, and landscaped low maintenance front garden. The driveway featured high quality natural granite blocks and slabs incorporating special permeable, SUDS compliant, joints and bedding with recycled glass. The front garden walls are made from feature, shaped gabions [rock filled cages] which add a decorative effect but also have a practical use, retaining the higher ground on one side. The rocks selected were decorative Cumbrian river washed cobbles. Low maintenance bedding strips and feature timber fencing with bespoke steel posts finished everything off nicely.

The finished project is very unusual and unique, it has improved kerbside appeal hugely and is quite literally turning the heads of passers-by. The projects success was down to the hugely collaborative efforts of all the people involved – clients, contractors and sub-contractors – everyone put in useful suggestions that were incorporated to make everything function and look better.

Various other upgrades and alterations were carried out to the rest of the house to improve it’s accessibility, security, storage, robustness, energy efficiency and moisture ingress.
